Library Aides

Library Aide—Volunteering to be a library aide is an opportunity to provide service to the school on a daily basis. All students who have an open period, study hall, or time before or after school are welcome to apply. Students are asked to assist in a variety of library tasks which include checking out and checking in books using the library automated system, shelving books and keeping them in good order, shelving new magazines, filing old magazines and newspapers, distributing overdue notices to homerooms, cleaning computers, and loading printers. Library aides also may be asked to assist with special projects. A benefit of being a library aide is that students become familiar with finding information the library using both print and non-print materials. Library aides are moderated by Mrs. Buciak.
